Wreck of USS Apogon Submarine
Bikini Atoll, the site of many American nuclear tests in the 1940s and 1950s, has a wealth of shipwrecks hidden beneath its waters as a result. For many years divers stayed away due to radioactivity scares, but Photshot photographer Reinhard Dirscherl has recently returned from a trip there providing us these spectacular images.

Sperm Whale
Underwater specialist Franco Banfi has been working in the Mediterranean and Atlantic, and his new images focus on the exotic marine life of these seas, whales and dolphins, and commercially fished species such as cod and plaice. Franco won an award in the Oceans View category of Natures Best Photography competition 2008 with his image of an inquisitive sperm whale.
