Aid from the United Nations begins to make a difference to the hundreds ofthousands of victims of flash floods triggered by the monsoon rains. Theworst floods the country has faced in several decades washed away cropacreage the size of England, submerged villages and destroyed roads andbridges in the north-western province of KhyberPakhtunkhwa, parts of thePakistan-administered Kashmir region and the eastern province of Punjab.
